About interest rates
Policy rates are the headline rates that central banks set to steer inflation and growth — the Fed Funds rate in the US, the ECB Deposit Facility in the eurozone, the Bank Rate in the UK. Sovereign bond yields are what investors charge governments to borrow at different tenors; the spread between long and short tenors (the yield-curve shape) is widely watched as a recession signal. Rates here are indicative; verify with the issuing central bank or your broker before any decision.

Frequently asked questions
Which interest rates does NowPrice publish?
Two layers: (1) central-bank policy rates — Fed funds, ECB main refinancing, BoE bank rate, BoJ overnight, SBV refinance — refreshed every 30 minutes; (2) Vietnamese commercial-bank deposit rates by tenor (1m / 3m / 6m / 12m / 24m), refreshed every 6 hours from each bank's public table.
Why do banks offer different rates for the same tenor?
Each bank manages its own funding mix and risk appetite. Smaller banks often pay 0.5–1.5 % higher to attract deposits; larger banks (Vietcombank, BIDV) sit at the lower end. Promotional rates and minimum-deposit thresholds further skew the picture.
How does this differ from a savings calculator?
NowPrice shows the headline rate; a savings calculator computes accumulated interest. We do not currently provide the calculator — for VND deposit projections you can multiply the rate by the term and your principal as a first approximation.
Are these rates pre-tax?
Bank deposit rates in Vietnam are quoted gross. Personal-income tax on bank-deposit interest is currently 0 % for VN residents under Decree 65/2013, but verify with current tax law and your bank.
