Frequently asked questions
Are these calculators free?
Yes — every NowPrice calculator is free, runs entirely in your browser, and never asks for an email or login. No upsell to "premium" tiers, no rate-limited free trial. We build them because we need them ourselves; you get them for the same reason we publish the live price.
Do you save my inputs?
No. All math runs client-side and inputs stay in your browser. Nothing you type in the loan, P&L, currency or gold calculators ever leaves the page or hits our server. The Crypto P&L and Gold value calculators read live prices from NowPrice's public JSON endpoints — but they don't send anything back.
Are the prices and rates live?
The currency converter pulls FX from cache/data/fx/spot.json (refreshed every minute during market hours from Yahoo + open.er-api.com for fiat). The gold-weight calculator reads XAU/USD from the spot feed (every 5 min). The crypto P&L calculator pulls any of 200+ tickers from the Binance + CoinGecko price feed (every minute). The loan calculator is pure math — your principal, rate, term — no live data needed.
Why these four calculators?
They cover the four questions our visitors actually ask while looking at a live price: convert (FX), weigh (gold by gram/oz/chỉ/tael with karat purity), size (crypto position with leverage and liquidation), and borrow (loan with extra payments and side-by-side comparison). Each has a basic mode by default and an "advanced" toggle for pro features like reverse FX, multi-target tables, DCA, R:R and amortization schedules.
Can I trust the math?
For the rates and formulas, yes — they're standard market formulas (mid-market FX, troy-ounce conversion, isolated/cross leverage liquidation, French amortization). For the numbers, treat them as indicative. Bank/wire fees and gold dealer spreads vary by counterparty; broker liquidation models add a maintenance margin that varies by exchange. Use the calculators as a sanity check on what your broker / dealer / bank quotes — not as a substitute.
