Is the embed free?
Yes — fully free. No API key, no signup, no rate limits to worry about for a blog or forum embed. Just pick an asset above, copy the iframe snippet, paste it into your post. The card updates itself every minute from the same feed that powers the rest of NowPrice.
Where can I embed it?
Any platform that allows raw HTML or an iframe: WordPress (Custom HTML block), Ghost, Substack, Wix, Squarespace, Medium (via custom embed), Notion, Reddit comments, Discord pinned messages, Bear Blog, plain static sites, internal Confluence pages — anywhere a <iframe> tag survives the editor. We don't enforce a referrer allowlist.
Will the widget slow down my page?
It loads in a sandboxed iframe with lazy-loading turned on, so it does not block your page paint. The body is ~6 KB of HTML + CSS and one tiny price-poll loop. The iframe content is served behind Cloudflare with a 60s edge cache, so repeat visitors and bots hit the CDN, not our origin.
Can I pick an asset that isn't in the dropdown?
Yes — the iframe URL follows the pattern /embed/price/<source>/<key>. Any asset NowPrice tracks works: e.g. /embed/price/crypto/DOGEUSDT, /embed/price/stocks/dax, /embed/price/commodities/coffee-arabica. The dropdown lists curated picks; hand-build for anything else.
Do I need to credit NowPrice?
No legal requirement — the card itself displays the NowPrice mark and the asset clicks through to the relevant detail page, so attribution is built in. We do appreciate when authors mention us in the surrounding paragraph; it helps other writers find the widget.
