Cascadia Reports High-Grade Copper-Gold Intercepts at Carmacks Project, Yukon
Cascadia Minerals announced drill results from its Carmacks copper-gold project in Yukon, including 106.62 m of 1.09% CuEq, extending mineralization at Zone 2000S.

Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: CAM) has released the first drill results from its 2026 exploration program at the Carmacks copper-gold project in central Yukon, reporting significant sulphide mineralization. The results include a broad intercept of 106.62 meters grading 1.09% copper equivalent (CuEq), comprising 0.79% copper and 0.28 g/t gold, with higher-grade sub-intervals such as 23.15 meters of 1.42% copper and 0.51 g/t gold (1.94% CuEq) and 21.24 meters of 2.38% copper with 0.30 g/t gold (2.82% CuEq). Hole CD-26-046 extended Zone 2000S northward by 60 meters, with mineralization remaining open at depth and along strike. Additional drilling has tested the zone a further 50 meters north and at depth, as well as extensions of Zone 147.
These results are significant for the copper market, as they demonstrate the potential for resource expansion at a road-accessible project in a mining-friendly jurisdiction. Copper prices remain sensitive to supply constraints, and new discoveries or extensions at existing projects can influence sentiment. Traders tracking base metals can monitor copper price movements on NowPrice's live commodities dashboard for real-time updates.
Investors will watch for further drill results from Cascadia's fully-funded program, which continues to test the northern and depth extensions of Zone 2000S and Zone 147. The company's ability to expand mineralization along strike and at depth will be key to assessing the project's economic viability. The next set of assays is expected to provide additional clarity on the scale of the system.
