Marimaca Copper Extends High-Grade Bornite Zone at Pampa Medina with 6.11% Cu and 24.0g/t Ag
Marimaca Copper reports high-grade drill results from Pampa Medina, including 6m at 6.11% Cu and 24.0g/t Ag, extending the bornite zone 300m south.

Marimaca Copper Corp. (TSX:MARI)(ASX:MC2) has released additional assay results from step-out drilling at its Pampa Medina deposit in Chile's Antofagasta Region, extending the central high-grade sulphide zone and confirming multiple stacked manto-style copper-silver horizons.
Hole SPRD-07 returned 20m at 2.65% Cu and 13.9 g/t Ag from 564m, including a 6m interval of 6.11% Cu and 24.0g/t Ag, extending the ultra-high-grade bornite zone 300m south of previously reported drilling. These results highlight the potential for a significant copper-silver resource at Pampa Medina, located 28km east of the company's Marimaca Oxide Deposit. The company is also reporting 40m at 2.04% Cu and 11.1g/t Ag from the same hole, demonstrating the presence of multiple mineralized horizons. Investors tracking copper prices on NowPrice can see how these exploration updates may influence sentiment in the base metals sector, particularly as global demand for copper remains strong amid the energy transition.
The step-out drilling success at Pampa Medina suggests the deposit could be larger than previously modeled, with the bornite zone now extending over a significant strike length. Marimaca Copper plans to continue drilling to further define the resource and assess the potential for a standalone development. The next catalyst for the stock will be the release of a maiden resource estimate for Pampa Medina, expected later this year, which will provide a clearer picture of the project's economic viability.
