New York Life debuts tokenized high-yield bond fund with Centrifuge
New York Life Investment Management launches its first tokenized investment product, a high-yield corporate bond fund on Centrifuge, marking a major Wall Street adoption of blockchain-based funds.

New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), the $807 billion asset management arm of life insurer New York Life, has launched its first tokenized investment product, a high-yield corporate bond fund built on Centrifuge's tokenization platform.
The fund, called the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio (HYB), represents the firm's debut on blockchain rails. NYLIM is partnering with Centrifuge, a tokenization platform that enables real-world assets to be brought onchain. The move joins a growing list of Wall Street firms exploring tokenized funds, which aim to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in asset management.
For crypto and digital asset traders, this development signals deepening institutional interest in blockchain-based financial products. Tokenized bonds offer potential benefits such as faster settlement, fractional ownership, and programmability. While the fund is not directly tradeable on crypto exchanges, it reflects a broader trend of traditional finance integrating with decentralized infrastructure. Traders can monitor NowPrice's crypto page for real-time pricing on tokenized assets and related tokens.
Looking ahead, the success of this fund could encourage other asset managers to launch similar products. Key factors to watch include regulatory developments around tokenized securities, adoption by other large institutions, and the performance of the fund's underlying high-yield bond strategy. The tokenization market is expected to grow significantly, with projections of trillions of dollars in assets onchain by the end of the decade.
