K2 Gold Drills Extensive Mineralization and Quartz Veins at Si2 Project in Nevada

K2 Gold Corporation has released results from its 2026 reverse circulation drilling program at the Si2 Gold Project in Esmeralda County, Nevada, confirming extensive disseminated mineralization and gold-silver epithermal quartz veins.

The drilling targeted three widely separated areas—AOI1, AOI3, and AOI4—spaced 600 to 1,450 meters apart. All three targets successfully intersected mineralization, indicating a very large, fertile epithermal gold system. Hole SR26006 at AOI4 returned consistently elevated gold values, demonstrating the system's capacity to host broad intervals of disseminated gold as well as large quartz veins with potential for higher grades at depth.

For precious metals traders, this discovery adds to the growing pipeline of gold projects in the Walker Lane trend, a prolific mining region. While early-stage, the confirmation of a large-scale system could attract further investment and M&A interest in the sector. NowPrice's real-time gold quotes provide the latest market levels for traders monitoring the impact of exploration news on gold equities.

Investors will watch for follow-up drilling results, particularly deeper tests targeting the high-grade potential of the quartz veins. The company's next steps may include metallurgical studies and resource estimation, which could further de-risk the project and enhance its value.
