Petrolympic Reports Winter Program Results at Rayon d'Or and Vauquelin Property in Val-d'Or, Quebec

Petrolympic Ltd. has announced the results of its 2026 winter exploration program at the Rayon d'Or and Vauquelin property, located 40 km east of Val-d'Or, Quebec, within the Cadillac Break Corridor.

The company completed magnetic and induced polarization resistivity surveys along 9.5 km on a grid basis west of Gueguen Lake, using a dipole-dipole electrode array. The property comprises 37 mining claims covering 5,261 acres (2,129 hectares) on the eastern extension of the world-famous Cadillac Break, a prolific gold-producing structure in the Val-d'Or Mining Camp. These surveys aim to identify drill targets for future programs.

For gold and precious metals traders, exploration updates from established mining camps like Val-d'Or can signal potential future supply additions. While early-stage results do not directly impact current gold prices, they contribute to the long-term supply outlook. Investors monitoring gold's supply-demand dynamics often track such exploration progress. For real-time gold pricing context, check NowPrice's gold page.

Looking ahead, the company will integrate the Mag-IP data with existing geological information to refine drill targets. The next catalyst for the property will be the release of any subsequent drilling results or additional geophysical surveys. The Val-d'Or region remains a key area for gold exploration in Canada, and further updates from Petrolympic are expected as the exploration program advances.
