Sitka Drills 19.3 m of 5.04 g/t Gold, Expanding High-Grade Zone at Blackjack Deposit
Sitka Gold's deepest hole at the RC Gold project in Yukon returned 94.0 m of 1.79 g/t gold including 19.3 m of 5.04 g/t, extending high-grade mineralization 370 m below the existing resource pit and supporting a potential underground mining component.

Sitka Gold Corp. reported assay results from the first drill hole of the 2026 season at its RC Gold project in Yukon, with hole DDRCCC-26-121 returning 94.0 metres grading 1.79 g/t gold, including a higher-grade interval of 19.3 metres at 5.04 g/t gold within a broader 273.8-metre section averaging 1.10 g/t gold.
The hole, the deepest ever drilled at RC Gold at 1,093 metres, successfully extended high-grade gold mineralization approximately 370 metres below the current resource pit and 110 metres laterally along strike from previously reported deep drilling in hole DDRCCC-25-076. The results confirm the potential for a high-grade, underground mining component at the Blackjack deposit, which could significantly enhance the project's economics. For gold traders and investors, such exploration success at a major project in a mining-friendly jurisdiction like Yukon can signal potential future supply additions, though near-term price impact is limited as development remains years away. Approximately 13,000 metres of diamond drilling has now been completed as part of Sitka's 2026 program, with additional assays pending. The company continues to target expansion of the high-grade zone both down-dip and along strike, with further drilling planned to test the continuity of mineralization. The results will be incorporated into an updated resource estimate expected later this year, which will be closely watched by the market for potential upgrades to the project's tonnage and grade profile.
