About Decentraland
Decentraland is a browser-based virtual world built on Ethereum that opened to the public in 2020, founded by Ari Meilich and Esteban Ordano. Land parcels and wearables are represented as NFTs, and the world is governed by the Decentraland DAO, where MANA token holders and land owners vote on policy, content moderation and the project treasury. MANA is an ERC-20 token used to buy land, items and services inside the world, while the LAND token represents ownership of specific 16-by-16-meter parcels. The platform supports user-built scenes, art galleries, live events and games, and has hosted virtual fashion shows and conferences.
